Da Bayou will be hosting this year’s St. Baldrick’s event where you can enjoy music by Chris Hagan and an EMC. The Balter Brothers will be playing later in the evening. This year, the goal is $20,000. All proceeds go toward childhood cancer research.

Gig in the Park

Vollis Simpson Whirligig Park

The annual spring concert series opens with The Embers featuring Craig Woolard. Gig in the Park will run every other Thursday evening beginning April 18 through mid-June. The series is free and open to the public. A variety of food trucks will again be parked on Douglas and South streets. Coastal Beverage will sell domestic beer and a small selection of craft beer. To purchase alcoholic beverages, you must first purchase a $1 wrist band from event staff.

C.J. Chenier and the Red Hot Louisiana Band

Chenier is a Creole, born and raised in an indigenous American culture with its distinct language, cuisine and music. Tickets are $25 for adults and $20 for students and seniors.
