Senior Samantha Wainright and freshman Kaelyn Wall each had two goals as the Greenfield School varsity girls soccer team posted three goals in each half to cruise to a 6-0 shutout of Ridgecroft on Friday at Forbes Field.
Greenfield of the 1-A Coastal Plain Independents Conference (3-4) struck early, with Wainright finishing an assist from eighth grader Margaret Covington in the fourth minute. Junior Emma Brown fed Wall for thr 15th-minute goal, with senior Anna Merritt Hauser putting away a Wainright assist in the 28th.
Four minutes into the second half, Wall provided her second goal before assisting Wainright in the 49th. Eighth grader Margaret Covington converted a penalty kick to cap the scoring in the 79th.
Sophomore Sumer Hassan had seven saves on 10 Ridgecroft shots in getting the clean sheet.
