RALEIGH — Kenneth Conrad Morin, 71, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 21, 2018 after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease.
Ken was born on July 13, 1947 in Sanford, Maine, to Conrad and Carmen Bachand Morin. He was a 1969 graduate of Appalachian State University. He enjoyed an illustrious career in banking as a senior vice president at Branch Banking and Trust in Wilson before retiring to North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He relocated to Raleigh in 2014 to be closer to his daughter, Samantha.
Ken truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures and spending time with beloved friends and family.
He is survived by his two daughters, Samantha Chase (Jim) of Raleigh and Margi Desmond (Matt) of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Per Ken’s request, his ashes will be scattered in a private family ceremony.
In lieu of flowers, Samantha and Margi suggest donations to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
