Joyce Anne Baker, 79, of Wilson, formerly of Roanoke Rapids, passed away Tuesday. Her funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. The Rev. Tim McFatter will officiate.
Family will receive friends 12:30 – 1:45 p.m. Saturday, prior to service.
She was employed with First Citizens Bank for 34 years.
Joyce is survived by her son, Cleve Baker, and wife, Sharon, of Roanoke Rapids; grandson, Jesse Warren Player Baker, and wife, Traci, of Chesapeake, Virginia; granddaughters, Sarah Christian Baker, and fiancé, Richard Chandler, of Louisville, Kentucky and Alison Lyndi Baker, and fiancé, Dane Kuroski, of Roanoke Rapids; sisters, Jesse Lou White of Greenville, Hazel Bissette and Jean Hamm, and husband, Edgar, of Wilson; brother, Archie Bennett, and wife, Dot, of Kinston; great-granddaughter, Alyssa Baker; great-grandsons, Sean Baker, Bennett Baker and Tristan Balenger.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney C. Baker; parents, Jesse and Mamie Bennett
