LUCAMA — Jerry Thomas Moore, 79, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Spring Hill Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. The visitation will be Friday, 6 - 7:30 p.m., at Wilson Memorial Service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas May “Bud” Moore and Beulah Starling Moore.
Mr. Moore was retired from Yellow Freight and Thurston Motor Lines and was awarded the Million Mile Award. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed sharing the vegetables he grew.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Love Moore; son, J. Michael Moore of New York City; sisters, Annette Bass (Fred Jr.), Sue Bass (John T.) and Yvonne Ferrell (Alonzo “Fuzzy”), all of Lucama; brother-in-law, the Rev. Charles Love (Ann) of Wallace; and sister-in-law, Faye Mumford of Lucama.
