Janna Frances Parham and Glenn William Issette, both of Wilson, were married Aug. 27 in a 5 p.m. ceremony at Rose Hill Plantation, Nashville. The Rev. Rusty Russell officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Joy Parham of Wilson. She is the granddaughter of Edna Jackson of Pine Level and the late Norman Peeden. She graduated from Hunt High School and Northern Illinois University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and event planning. She is employed with Forma Life Sciences Marketing in Raleigh.
The groom is the son of Gary and Stephanie Issette of Wilson. He is the grandson of Glenn A. Ingle of Chenoa, Illinois, and the late Norma J. Ingle and the late William and Josephine Issette. He graduated from Wilson Christian Academy and East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree in business management/entrepreneurship. He is employed with Motion Industries of Greenville.
Escorted by her mother, the bride wore a cafe au lait ballgown fashioned with a sweetheart neckline, a dropped waist bodice overlaid with white lace and off-the-shoulder chiffon straps. A wide border of white lace encircled the skirt, and covered buttons adorned the back. She wore a fingertip veil edged in matching lace and carried a wrapped bouquet of white hydrangeas.
Laurie McMannen of Greenville, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Meredith Newman and Carrie Williamson, both of Raleigh, and Allison Lucas of Wilson. They wore black floor-length gowns styled with a V neckline edged in gold. They carried bouquets of white hydrangeas.
The groom’s father served as best man.
Groomsmen were Bryan Newman and Matthew Williamson, both of Raleigh, and Justin Batts of Smithfield. Ushers were Ryan Beamon, Ryan Howard and Drew Moser.
Following the ceremony, the bridal couple hosted a dinner reception at Rose Hill Plantation. Dancing followed with music provided by Derek Northern, DJ.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents on Friday night at Rose Hill Plantation Smoke House. A bridal luncheon on Friday was given by aunts and the grandmother of the bride, at Sweet and Savory.
They have returned from a wedding trip to Anchorage and Fairbanks, Alaska, and are residing in Elm City.
