Hornets 2-0 after beating Cornerstone

Jeremiah Deans dropped in 20 points to lead the Eastern North Carolina School for the Deaf boys basketball team to its second win to start the season as the Hornets decked Cornerstone Christian of Roanoke Rapids 53-21 on Tuesday.

Naheim Carlton added 10 points for the Hornets, who opened up a 30-11 lead at halftime.

“Early in the season, there are lots of sloppiness and room for improvement,” said head coach Leonard Baker.
