The St. Baldrick’s Foundation, the largest private funder of children’s cancer research, will host one of its signature head-shaving events at O’Cools of Brentwood on Saturday, April 7, with more than 40 participants shaving their head or cutting 8 inches of hair to raise money for lifesaving childhood cancer research.

The April 7 event will include local barbers from Airport Barber Shop, Dawna’s Hair Studio, Headlines Hair Design, Ross McDaniel Salon and Sport Clips.

ShanSound Entertainment will be on site keeping everyone singing and dancing. Amanda Kessler Photography will be capturing photos again this year. There will also be a silent auction and raffle with all donations going to St. Baldrick’s.

Anyone wanting to pre-register can go to www.StBaldricks.org/events/WilsonOCools2018. Those raising $50 or more will receive a St. Baldrick’s Rock the Bald T-Shirt.

The 2017 event raised $18,626 with 44 shaving or cutting hair, five barbers and nine volunteers.
