Art Ventures and Barnes Corner Gallery will hold its monthly First Friday Open House with a heart-felt tug.

For the Have A Heart celebration, all who take canned or non-perishable foods for donation to Hope Station will be entered into a drawing for a matted fine art print by a Barnes Corner Galley artist. Several prints will be given away.

The public is invited to Have A Heart, scheduled for Friday, Feb. 1, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The evening will also feature new works by Barnes Corner resident artists Pegi Barnes Sharp, Oona Lewis, Alison Hesmer and Dwight Mitchell. Also featured will be the fine jewelry designs of Tim Quick. Light refreshments will be served.

Valentine’s Day is coming soon, and the resident artists have made special effort to expand the selection of small paintings, hand-crafted jewelry and glass window hangings, all priced at less than $100.

For more information on Have A Heart, contact Oona Lewis at 252-236-1055 or drop by the Barnes Corner Gallery at 200 W. Tarboro St. in downtown Wilson.
