A former Wilson resident was killed in a Washington, D.C., shooting Tuesday.

Twenty-two-year old Sefjuan Jones, whose last known address was in Nashville, attended Fike and Hunt high schools, according to Wilson County Schools spokeswoman Amber Lynch.

Detectives from Washington’s Metropolitan Police Department are investigating the fatal shooting that happened in the 6200 block of Eighth Street Northweat. Police responded shortly before midnight and found three men suffering from gunshot wounds.

D.C. Fire and EMS transported all the victims, including Jones, to local hospitals. Jones and 25-year-old Renard Marsh later died. Police said a third victim sustained non-life threatening injuries.

No arrests had been made as of Friday.

Jones was an absconder from probation here, according to the N.C. Department of Public Safety. He was convicted in April 2016 on a charge of felony breaking and entering into motor vehicles.
