Two former employees face multiple charges after police say they embezzled money from Best Buy.

On Tuesday, officers responded to Best Buy in Wilson regarding an employee theft, according to officials. Police spoke with a Best Buy employee who said the business discovered that two of its employees were embezzling money by conducting fraudulent returns, said Sgt. Steve Stroud.

Police said the Best Buy investigator provided written and video evidence of the alleged crimes.

The employees were identified as Marquita Hayman, 33, and Chelsey A. Daniels, 21. Hayman was present when the investigating officer was on the scene. She was arrested and taken before a magistrate who charged her with seven counts of embezzlement.

Hayman, of 7208 Liles Road, Bailey, was given a $5,000 unsecured bond.

Daniels was located at her home, brought before the magistrate and charged with two counts of aiding and abetting embezzlement, according to police.

Daniels, of 2816 Canal Drive, was given a $1,000 unsecured bond.
