The Wilson Youth Soccer Association Explosion Ladies ages U12 girls compiled a pair of wins Oct. 13-14 against North Carolina Youth Soccer Association foes Wake Futbol Club and Fayetteville Soccer Club.

The Explosion Ladies (3-3, 3-6 league) blanked both opponents, defeating WFC 5-0 on Saturday and knocking off FSC 2-0 on Sunday.

Against Wake, Avery Williams scored twice for Wilson, with Gretchen Weeks, Madyson Brown and Madison Denham also collecting goals. In goal, Sarah Peters turned away 11 shots.

Versus Fayetteville, Miley Jones and Williams provided the scoring. Defensively, Wilson allowed eight shots on frame without allowing a goal. Brown helped spark the defensive effort.

The victories were the first two of the season for acting head coach Reggie Harrison.

This past weekend, the Explosion Ladies battled Coastal United to a 2-2 draw in New Bern. Wilson now stands 3-3-2 in the Second East Division.
