Entries sought for Ayden Art Show in September

Artists from eastern North Carolina are invited to enter their creations in the 10th Ayden Art Show in September.

The increasingly popular event is a highlight of the annual Ayden Collard Festival, held Sept. 6-9. Categories include painting, photography, creative design, drawing, 3D, and multi-media/mixed-media. Entry fees are $5 for one piece, $10 for two, and $15 for three pieces. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place in each category, plus best-in-show and viewers’ choice.

Youth entries are also accepted at no charge.

Entries need to be submitted to the Ayden Community Building, 548 Second St., on Sunday, Aug. 26, from 2 to 5 p.m.; and Monday, Aug. 27, from 9 a.m. to noon and 4 to 8 p.m.

The public is invited to view the artwork at the Ayden Community Building and vote for their favorite creation on Aug. 31 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sept. 4 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sept. 5-7 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sept. 8 from noon to 6 p.m. and Sept. 9 from noon to 4 p.m.
