FARMVILLE — The Duck-Rabbit Craft Brewery is throwing a party on Aug. 20 to celebrate this year’s release of the award-winning autumn seasonal beer Märzen.

The party will run from 5 to 8 p.m. at The Duck-Rabbit brewery and taproom, 4519 W Pine St. in Farmville. Local blues legend Lightnin’ Wells will provide musical entertainment, and The Villa Verde food truck will be offering food to accompany the beer.

The Duck-Rabbit Märzen (4.6 percent alcohol by volume), the lightest of the brewery’s German-style lagers, is designed for outdoor fall festivals. Märzen won awards at the 2014 and 2015 Great American Beer Festival in the German-Style Marzen Category.

“We’re extremely proud of this delicious beer, and we’re gratified that the judges at the Great American Beer Festival like it too,” said Paul Philippon, owner of The Duck-Rabbit Craft Brewery. “We felt that this beer deserves a party with great music and great food!”
