Dreams came true for dozens of teens thanks to the Hall Foundation’s seventh annual Cinderella Project Prom Dress Drive.
Nearly 100 young ladies received a free prom dress over the three-day event held at Lovely Lady Boutique & Glam Bar in Wilson. Angie Hall, founder of the Hall Foundation and boutique owner, said it was the biggest turnout in all the years the group has held the prom dress drive.
The local project not only helped Wilson County students but also students from surrounding counties. The project aims to give young girls a prom dress who otherwise couldn’t afford one. The annual project is made possible with help of area organizations and individuals each year.
Hall thanked everyone who donated, volunteered and shared information about the event to schools and churches. Dresses that weren’t used are always boxed up and saved for the following year.
