Down East Music Festival a smash hit

The weather was extremely hot and humid, however, it did not hinder thousands of people from enjoying themselves at the Heavy Hitters of Soul’s Down East Music Festival held at the Wilson County Fairgrounds on Saturday.

Concert attendees were treated to the diversified sounds of performers including Miss Mille, the dynamic sounds of 3 Staxx, J. Redd and a score of other well-known performers who entertained the audience and kept people singing and dancing to the exotic sounds of Southern soul music.

Well-known DJ Heavy did a fantastic job being a great host who continued to entertain the audience between acts.

This extravagant event was produced and sponsored by well-known promoter Mandrake Lewis. Mr. Lewis is also the CEO of a nonprofit organization that supports at-risk children by supplying them with the necessary tools to help them live a productive lifestyle.
