What do you believe? Why do you believe it?
Did you just accept what you were told without question?
Were you told what you must believe to avoid ultimate punishment?
Were you taught to fear? Why?
Was it to control you?
Did you ever question what you were told?
Were you taught that to question what you were told was bad and that you would be punished?
Am I talking about religion?
Or the Trump White House?
If you have not questioned what you believe and why, then you have no moral authority over yourself.
What are your values? What do you believe in? What will you accept? What will you not accept?
Are there conditions under which that might change?
Those who never question are sheep.
Those who do are either wolves or shepherds. They either prey on or attempt to protect the sheep.
It’s not the wolf in sheep’s clothing you should fear. It’s the wolf in shepherd’s clothing.
Ask the questions. Don’t be the prey of the wolf. Don’t be a burden on the shepherd.
Ask. Evaluate. Decide.
Do you even know what you believe?
