FREMONT — Authorities say a Wilson man stopped for speeding on Interstate 795 was caught with cocaine and marijuana on Monday.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office Aggressive Criminal Enforcement Team was patrolling I-795 North in northern Wayne County and stopped 22-year-old Alfonso Gabriell Flores of 707 Industrial Ave. NE, sheriff’s Maj. Richard Lewis said in a news release.
Deputies spoke with Flores about the speed violation and smelled marijuana, Lewis said. The ACE Team used a K-9 to conduct a probable cause search and found unspecified quantities of marijuana and cocaine.
Flores was arrested on cocaine and marijuana possession charges and a Wayne County magistrate released him on a $5,000 unsecured bond.
