A 24-year-old man has been jailed after sheriff’s deputies say they found a stash of child pornography in his Wilson home.

The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office raided Benjamin Scott Delvalle’s 1104 Stoddard Road home on Friday. Detectives seized several cameras, cellphones and a laptop computer and arrested Delvalle on six counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

“The search warrant stems from an active investigation into child pornography,” sheriff’s office Chief of Staff Wanda Samuel said in a statement.

Authorities didn’t say whether Delvalle is accused of making the child pornography or whether he allegedly obtained it from others or downloaded it from the internet.

Delvalle is on probation following a September 2016 conviction on two counts of felony credit card theft in Harnett County, according to N.C. Division of Adult Correction records. He also was sentenced to probation following an October 2015 conviction on two counts of possession of Schedule II drugs in Wake County.

Delvalle was booked into the Wilson County Detention Center under a $300,000 secured bond on the child pornography charges.
