Robocalls have gone from being annoying to being criminal!

I delete “calls received” regularly. On Friday evening I emptied the box. On Tuesday, there were 44 “calls received!” We wanted three of them. People have babies, are elderly or handicapped, want to watch TV, like to eat in peace, need sleep, or just want to “have a life!” We recently enrolled in a cellphone plan. No one except immediate family members even have that number, but in two weeks it has received 16 unwanted calls!

This needs to be prosecuted as criminal behavior. We have to pay for our phone plan, and do so for our convenience. I have a suggestion for the sentence for robocallers: 10 years in a reasonably comfortable cell with a TV and with 10 loud phones that are out of their reach, but answered automatically and each play the full message — probably and hopefully overlapping — night and day!

If you want to agree with me on this, please do not call me! If you do, you’ll have to listen to my annoying answering machine filtering message. Write the paper, or your congressman.
