Confederate statues are a needless distraction

To make a long story short, it doesn’t make any sense for our citizens to be more concerned about some Confederate statues when it’s part of our history. Many people don’t even know the meaning of them and haven’t seen them. Trust and believe that there’s more going on in this world that we need to be focused on besides some statues.

We have North Korea talking about shooting missiles. You worry about the Klan’s marching. Everyone has their own belief and you can’t control another person’s mind, but it was wrong that innocent people had to be hurt in Charlottesville, Virginia. People rally and march for some reason all the time!

We have gang activity in our community that we should be more concerned about with all this hurting one another, then we have kids being left in hot cars every summer.

So don’t tell me that we don’t have more important issues in this world to pray and be concerned about, because we do!
