Concerts return to Round House this month

Enjoy concerts on the lawn again this season at the The Oliver Nestus Freeman Round House and African American Museum.

Concerts begin at 6 p.m. at the site, 1202 Nash St. SE. Take chairs or a blanket and enjoy the music.

There’s no admission charge, but donations are welcome.

May 5: Music by King Tuck features Donald Tuckson playing rhythm and blues favorites on alto sax.

May 12: The Captain — Dick Knight — will be singing and playing for this Mother’s Day special event.

May 19: Musical guest to be announced.

May 26: Wilson’s own band The Monitors will play some favorite tunes.
