Spaghetti supper set for Tuesday
The Knights of Columbus and St. Therese Catholic Church will host their 55th annual spaghetti supper on Tuesday, Feb. 25. Lunch will be severed from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and dinner from 4-7 p.m. The church is located at 700 W. Nash St. The meal includes spaghetti, salad and bread for takeout. Drinks and dessert are added for diners who eat in. Tickets are available at the door on Feb. 25 or in the drive-thru line.
Wilson County GOP to host social
The Wilson County Republican Party will host its monthly social at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, at the Elks Lodge on Fieldstream Drive. The meeting topic is the petition to be a Second Amendment sanctuary county. There will be appetizers and a cash bar. A $10 donation is requested.
Genealogical society to meet
The Wilson County Genealogical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, at the Wilson County Public Library, 249 Nash St.
Local historian Jerilyn Lee will share the stories of the United States Colored Troops, along with more than 100 pictures and artifacts of black soldiers, sailors and officers who served during the Civil War. All are invited to attend this meeting and there is no charge.
Family movie night planned
New Life Fellowship Center, 309 Green St. NE, will have a family movie night at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, with a hot dog supper. For more information, call 252-291-8801.
‘Name That Tune’ seeks sponsors
Pro Music Conservatory, a nonprofit community school in Wilson now in its second decade, will hold its fourth annual “Name That Tune!” fundraiser at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 29.
Six businesses in the community — Farris & Thomas Law Attorneys, Stephenson Millwork, Joyner’s Funeral Home, Greenlight and The Wilson Times — have already agreed to sponsor teams, but there’s still room for more teams. Team sponsorships are $300 and all money raised will go toward Pro Music’s scholarship program.
The winning team will have $250 donated to the nonprofit/charity of its choice.

Prom dress donations sought
Community Service and Outreach is seeking donations of prom dresses, shoes, accessories and beauty and nail salon services.
