Democratic women’s group to meet

The Democratic Women of Wilson County will meet at 6:45 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27, in the Wilson County Public Library assembly room, 249 Nash St. The meeting will include a presentation on precinct organization, an introduction to Vote Builder and the use of technology in organizing and developing effective campaign strategies in preparation for the upcoming elections.

DAR chapter plans meeting

The Daughters of the American Revolution’s Thomas Hadley Chapter will meet at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, with social time at 1:30 p.m., at the Wilson County Public Library, 249 Nash St. The speaker will be Brian Johnson of Wilson Environmental Services.

Food, paper drive scheduled

Hope Station will hold a food and paper drive 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, at the Shoppes at Brentwood, 2801 Ward Blvd.

Food items needed include canned vegetables, canned fruit, canned beans, dried beans, pasta, pasta sauce, canned tuna/chicken, pudding cups and healthy cereal. Paper items needed include tissues, paper towels, toilet paper, napkins and diapers of any size. For more information, call Hope Station at 252-291-7278.

Endless Love banquet slated

The Living Word Worship Center of Louisburg will have an Endless Love banquet from 7-10 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, at Wilson Community Church, 2301 Montgomery Drive. This banquet is for married couples, dating couples and singles. The cost is $25 per person and tickets can be purchased by making a Cash App payment to $LivingWordWC. Guest speakers will be Luby and Debbie Coley.

Church to hold Valentine banquet

Total Impact Outreach Ministry, 502 Jordan St., will have a Valentine banquet at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, with door prizes, praise dancing, food, singing, mime and photos. Tickets are free for ages 0-3 but are required for organizers’ headcount; $5 for ages 4 -12; $15 for ages 13-19; and $20 for ages 20 and up. Endless Love banquet planned

Brewmasters to host blood drive

Brewmasters on Forest Hills Road will have a blood drive from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17. The Blood Connection will give away a $20 Visa gift card to one donor.
