St. Rose Church of Christ located at 605 S. Douglas St. will have a clothing giveaway from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 9.

MIDDLESEX — The Middlesex Fire Department, 11636 W. Finch Ave., will host Firemen’s Day from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9.

ELM CITY — Divine Destiny Ministries, 604 E. Wilson St., has scheduled a community meet-and-greet from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, weather permitting, with food, fun and fellowship.

SNOW HILL — The Greene County Museum, 107 NW Third St., will host an opening reception for its Latin American culture and history exhibit from 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12. The exhibit will remain open at the museum through Oct. 27.

The West Nash United Methodist Church Women will host a September Shopping Day from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 16 at the 2200 Nash St. N. church. Attendees are asked to bring a canned food donation for admission. Proceeds will support Christian outreach to women, youth and children.

A variety of breakfast items and coffee will be available in addition to vendor merchandise from LuLaRoe, Usborne Books, Scentsy, Morgan Tedder and Cyndi Hall Designs, DeTerra, Carolina Sparkle and Sass Boutique, Blossom and Gauge Jewelry, West Nash Chicken Pies, Ken’s Creative Woodturning, Rodan and Fields and more.

The 4-H Flywheel Club will meet from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 16 at the Wilson County Public Library, 249 Nash St. NW.

Operation Medicine Drop will be held 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23 at Wilson Value Drug Store, 404 Nash St. E. Bring your unused or expired medications to be properly disposed of. Free food and beverages will be provided for all participants.

Fike High School, 500 Harrison Drive, will hold a mattress sale fundraiser to benefit its band program from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23 in the school gym.

St. Paul Church of Christ, 4009 Lake Wilson Road, will have Family and Friends Fun Day with free food, games, a dunking booth, bounce house, pie-eating contest, horses and a fire truck, motorcycles and Mustangs on display.

The Tractor Supply Co. store in Wilson is looking for farmers, crafters and artisans to sell their homemade and homegrown goods at its farmers market on Oct. 7.

To register, vendors can visit www.tsceventpartners.com or stop by the Wilson store. Nonprofit organizations and food trucks are also welcome to register.
