Refuge Trinity — Elm City

Refuge Trinity Holiness Church will have Sunday school at 10 a.m., morning worship at 11 and evening worship at 6:30 with the Rev. Sonny Griswold as speaker. Midweek worship will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Grace Baptist

Grace Baptist Church will have Sunday school at 10 a.m. and morning worship at 11. Midweek Bible study will be 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Restorative

Restorative Christian Ministries will have Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. and morning worship at 10:30 with the Rev. Rita Batts as speaker. Midweek Bible study will be 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Wilson Chapel

Wilson Chapel Free Will Baptist Church will have an early morning service at 7:45 Sunday followed by Sunday school at 9:30 and morning worship at 11. A home mission service and Father, Son and Holy Ghost program will be 4 p.m. Sunday with Deacon Clarence Bynum speaking on God the Father, Brother Deandre Lucas speaking about the Son and Deacon Frankie Edmundson speaking about the Holy Ghost. Bible study will be held at noon on Monday, prayer will be held at noon Wednesday and Bible study will be 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Trinity

Trinity AME Zion Church, 1624 Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway, will have its homecoming service at 3 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Donald McCoy of Pleasant Hill United Church of Christ in Fuquay-Varina as speaker.

Willing Worker — Lucama

Willing Worker Holiness Church will hold a widows’ service at 11 a.m. Sunday with evangelist Eunice Terry of Greater St. Bethel in Middlesex as speaker and Bethel Holy Church of Kenly rendering the music.

Evening Light

Evening Light Holiness Church will have a worship service at 11 a.m. Sunday with the Rev. Mona Sauls speaking and a 3 p.m. service with the Rev. Ethel Hendrick speaking.

Piney Groves

Piney Groves Church will have Sunday school at 9:45 a.m. and morning worship at 11 with the Rev. Robert Smith as speaker and music by the church youth. Midweek Bible study will be 7 p.m. Wednesday and prayer will be held at noon on Thursday.

Union View — Bailey

Union View Church will have Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. and worship service at 11 with Linda Braswell as speaker. Bible study will be 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Burning Bush

Burning Bush Free Will Baptist Church will have Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. and morning worship at 11 with the Rev. Eugena Ellis as speaker. Bible study will be 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Patterson Chapel

Patterson Chapel Holiness Church will have a worship service at 11 a.m. Sunday with the Rev. Dr. Julius Hunter as speaker and music by the Patterson Chapel Male Chorus.

St. Paul

St. Paul Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, will have Sunday school at 9:45 a.m. and a Youth Day service at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Tracy Joyner as speaker and music provided by the

youth choir. A jubilee deliverance service will be held at 5 p.m. with the Rev. Chester L. Aycock as speaker. Bible study will be held at noon on Tuesday and 7 p.m. Thursday.

Brown Chapel

Brown Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, 1507 Hadley St., will have a worship service at 11 a.m. Sunday with the Rev. Willie T. Thomas preaching.

Rountree

Rountree Missionary Baptist Church will have Sunday school at 9:45 a.m. and morning worship at 11 with the Rev. Norvell Cooper speaking and music by the senior choir.

Barnes Chapel

Barnes Chapel Missionary Baptist Church will have morning worship at 9 a.m. Sunday with Pastor Steven E. Kent delivering the message and music by the male chorus and praise team. Missions team members will distribute food at 7 p.m. on Wednesday. No Bible study is planned this week.

City of Refuge

City of Refuge will have morning manna at 10 on Sunday and morning worship at 11 with Apostle Ricky Locus as speaker. An appreciation service for Apostle Doris Bynum will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday with Anthony Harrison as speaker.

St. Rose

St. Rose Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, will have Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. followed by a quarterly meeting and memorial service with the Rev. Rondric Coppedge delivering the morning message and the male choir providing the music. The church’s mission department will hold a Missionaries in White service at 3 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Tracy Joyner serving as guest speaker.

Life in the Word

Life in the Word Ministry will have Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. and morning worship at 10:45 with the Rev. George Atkinson as speaker. Bible study will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Mitchell Chapel — Bailey

Mitchell Chapel Holiness Church will have Sunday school at 9:45 a.m. and a worship service at 1 with Apostle Dorothy Lucas delivering the message. Intercessory prayer will be 6 p.m. Tuesday followed by a prayer meeting and Bible study at 7.

Ebenezer

Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, 414 Hadley St., will celebrate its male chorus anniversary at 4 p.m. Sunday. All are invited.


Faith Temple

Faith Temple United Holy Church will have Sunday school at 8 a.m. and morning worship at 9 with the Rev. Ernestine McGe as speaker. The church wil hold its annual Christmas program at 3 p.m. Sunday.

Flat Rock — Sims

Flat Rock Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, will have Sunday school at 9:45 a.m. and morning worship service at 11 with the Rev. Essie Loftin as speaker. Prayer and Bible study will be held at noon Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Simon Grove

Simon Grove Holy Church will celebrate its mass choir’s anniversary at 4 p.m. Sunday. All are invited to attend.

St. John — Black Creek

St. John Holiness Church will observe Mission Day at 11 a.m. Sunday with missionaries Gloria Atkinson and Vanessia Johnson as speakers and the senior choir rendering the music. Services for the sick, needy and widows are planned Wednesday and Thursday with the Rev. Rudoph Lofton and Saints Rest Church choir from La Grange on Wednesday and the Rev. Curtis Artis and Anointed Word Ministry Church and choir of Lucama on Thursday.

Jackson Chapel

Jackson Chapel First Missionary Baptist Church will have Sunday school at 9 a.m. and morning worship at 10 with the Rev. Dr. Arvan Campbell. Bible study will be held at noon and 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Perry’s Temple

Perry’s Temple Original Free Will Baptist Church will hold its pastoral anniversary celebration at 10:45 a.m. Sunday with evangelist Dr. Hattie Lofton of Hickory Grove Disciples of Christ Church in Four Oaks as speaker and music rendered by the mass choir.

St. James — Fremont

St. James Church of Christ will have Sunday school at 8:45 a.m. and morning worship at 11 with the Rev. Verna Daye delivering the message and the St. James Male Chorus rendering the music.

Damascus Road

Damascus Road Church Ministries will have Sunday school at 9 a.m. and morning worship at 10 with Pastor Ada R. Harris delivering the message.

Freedom Ministries

Freedom Ministries will have a worship service at 10 a.m. Sunday with Pastor Dennis Battle preaching.

West Wilson

West Wilson Church of God will feature Southern gospel group Safe Haven in concert at 6 p.m. Sunday.
