BELMONT — The home of NCAA Division’s No. 2-ranked baseball team was no place for Barton College to be on Friday, the 13th.

The Crusaders remained a half-game out of first place behind North Greenville (South Carolina) University at 15-3 and vaulted to 32-8 overall.
Barton already trailed 7-0 when junior Troy Maslowski belted a solo home run in the second inning. The Bulldogs, limited to six hits, added a run in each of the sixth and ninth innings.
