For the third straight week, a Barton College men’s basketball player attained the Conference Carolinas Player of the Week honor after sophomore forward Isaiah Buck-Lowman’s 29-point performance in a victory at Tusculum, according to an announcement from the league office.
Barton (7-4), winners of five in a row, last played on Dec. 19 in Greeneville, Tenn. against the Pioneers. There, Buck-Lowman made 10 of 13 field goals and was 7 for 7 from the free-throw line. Tusculum threatened to rally and trimmed a double-digit lead down to three points late, but Buck-Lowman responded with
eight straight points.
At 6-foot-6, Buck-Lowman pulled down three rebounds, handed out four assists and added two steals. Buck-Lowman was preceded in the award by teammates Michael Boykin and Zach Grant in the previous two weeks.
Barton returns from its holiday break Saturday as it travels to Shaw University for a 4 p.m. tip-off.
