CHARLOTTE — Freshman Julian Bosch, at No. 1, claimed the only Barton College point in the team’s 6-1 loss to the University of Charlotte of the NCAA Division I ranks at the Halton-Wagner Tennis Center on Saturday.

Bosch prevailed 6-3, 6-4 against the 49ers’ Sam Rice.

Bosch teamed with freshman Alexandre Alves for a 7-6 (7-5) conquest of Rice-Carl Solik at No. 3 doubles. However, in Div. I scoring, only one point is awarded in doubles and Charlotte earned that point by winning at Nos. 1 and 2.

The Bulldogs of the Div. II Conference Carolinas departed 11-8, while Charlotte improved to 12-13.
