.Jennifer Froning, Lee Woodard Elementary School first-grade teacher, received a Bright Ideas Grant. She will use the funds to purchase butterflies, ladybugs, ants and tadpoles. Froning will use the creatures to teach her students about life cycles. They will also purchase plants. She was also awarded a minigrant through the Wilson Education Partnership for books. She requested money for a variety of new books that she could use in her classrooms. Prior to receiving the books, she had to share with another teacher.
