Why doesn’t everybody in Wilson eat at the Whole Truth Lunchroom?
My wife and I recently had lunch at the Whole Truth and the food was absolutely delicious. The selection was varied, including pork chops, chicken, hog jowls and even pig tails. I can’t even remember all of the choices. There were many options for very healthy and tasty vegetables.
The fried chicken rivals my mother’s. MSN.com had the Whole Truth Lunchroom as one of the 50 best places to eat fried chicken in the U.S. (Shortened link: http://bit.ly/2qVnlbH)
The greens were better than home-cooked. In fact, I would be hard-pressed to find a better meal in Wilson, or anywhere.
The service was perfect with a sincere concern for the satisfaction of the customer. Every person there seemed proud of the product and happy to be working there. Even the other customers seemed like neighbors instead of strangers.
Oh yeah, I have to mention the amazing homemade banana pudding, still warm and delicious.
Honestly, I always considered my grandmother and mother to be the best Southern cooks who ever lived. The Whole Truth Lunchroom folks must have taken lessons from them!
