After reading this quote from Wilson’s public works director, I now understand the text message abbreviations SMH, LMAO and ROFL.

Does this gentleman drive a car? If so, what road was he referring to — Nash Street? Tarboro Street? Goldsboro Street? Vance Street? I could go on and on since I can’t find a decenr road anywhere in downtown Wilson.

Do we really need to waste money on a consultant to tell us our roads are pathetic? Hello, just drive around town a bit. I think anyone but our public works director can figure that out.

P.S. — Feel free to send me the consultant’s fee — and get busy on repaving the roads.
