Amanda Brooke Cale and William Raymond Adams, both of Wilson, were married in a 3 p.m. ceremony Sept. 17, 2016, at Farmington Heights Church. The Rev. Scott Sauls officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Blake and Peggy Cale of Wilson. She is the granddaughter of Bobby and Jean Cale of Wilson and Gertrude Edmonds of Lawrenceville, Virginia, and the late Joseph Bernard Edmonds. She graduated from Wilson Christian Academy and Bob Jones University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and is employed with the Wilson County Public Library as circulation assistant.

The groom is the son of Virgil and Berachah Adams of Blue Springs, Missouri. He is the grandson of Claudine Barnett of Rogers, Arkansas, and the late Harold Barnett; Kay Williams of Rogers and the late Billyray Williams; and the late Raymond and Cloe Adams of Pawnee, Oklahoma. He graduated from Tri-City Christian School and Metropolitan Community College with an Associate of Computer Science degree and Associate of Arts degree. He is employed with 3C Store Fixtures.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a floor-length gown of white Alencon lace with a chapel train, featuring a ruched side seam, a sweetheart neckline with beading and a corset back. She wore her mother’s wedding veil, a beaded Juliet cap with a sheer, fingertip-length, lace-edged veil. She carried a bouquet of white anemones.

Amber Hocutt of Clayton, Krystal Eldred of New Bern and Caroline Sharp of Wilson were bridesmaids. They wore floor-length black mesh gowns fashioned with an illusion neckline.

Flower girl was Maggie Mincey.

Joshua Adams of Kansas City, Missouri, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Jay Eldred of New Bern and Blake Cale Jr., brother of the bride, of Wilson.

Ring bearer was Andy Mincey.

Register attendant was Sarah Cale, and program attendant was Susan Cale.

Director was Brooke Walston.

A reception at the church followed the ceremony. Hosts were the bride’s parents.

On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the church.

They took a wedding trip to Kissimmee, Florida, and make their home in Wilson.
