Eight difference players scored for the DASH United Homeschool boys soccer team as it routed Fayetteville Homeschool 9-0 on Friday.
The match was halted via the mercy rule with three minutes left in the first half.
Scoring goals for the United, now 7-1, were Tim Bizzell, Nathan Drank, Josh Biller, Jordan Bailey, Silas Dorsey, Sam Haymore, Austin Manley and Caleb Adams. Biller scored two goals to go with an assist while Bizzell also had a pair of assists and Manley, Haymore and Adams had one each.
“It was good to see some of our players that don’t get a lot of playing time have some success,” said coach Steve Barry. “Sam Haymore, for example, is a great basketball player that played soccer when he was younger. He’s a senior and wanted to play soccer this year. He has been to every offseason practice and is constantly working and grinding to improve. He was rewarded with a goal and an assist today
DASH will play Thursday against Wake Christian.
