ROCKY MOUNT — Two Wilson County residents were among seven people caught in a rural Nash County motel room with five bricks of heroin Monday, authorities said.
Deputies responded to a report of suspicious activity at the Super Star Motel, 3226 S. Wesleyan Blvd. south of Rocky Mount and just north of Sharpsburg on U.S. 301, Chief Deputy Brandon Medina of the Nash County Sheriff’s Office said.
Seven people inside Room 119 gave deputies consent to search the room, Medina said in a release. Deputies say they found five bricks (about 250 bindles) of heroin along with 3 grams of marijuana and $359 in cash.
The room’s occupants — 23-year-old Dominique Deontay McNeil of 620 Walnut St., Wilson; 19-year-old Autumn Hun of 6008 N.C. 58 N., Elm City; 30-year-old Shellie Ann Inscoe of 2674 Leggett Road, Rocky Mount; 26-year-old Lucia Ann Ponce of 2018 Herdon Village Way, Raleigh; 25-year-old Jasmen Terrell Terry of 159 Weavers Circle, Rocky Mount; 39-year-old Tyone Dean Hardy of 313 Nelson St., Rocky Mount; and 28-year-old Cierra Danielle Corbitt of 139 Dogwood Drive, Tarboro — were all arrested.
Each occupant was charged with one count each of trafficking opium or heroin, felony maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of up to one-half ounce of marijuana.
They were booked into the Nash County Detention Center in Nashville under a $250,000 secured bond pending first court appearances today.
