Three people face multiple charges in connection to a rash of home burglaries near Stantonsburg.
The burglaries occurred between Feb. 10 and Feb. 12 in areas including Bartee Bridge Road, N.C. 222 and Good News Church Road, according to the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office.
Items stolen during the break-ins included guns, hunting equipment, a telescope, a living room set, gun cabinet, fishing gear and equipment, chainsaw and other tools, said Wanda Samuel, sheriff’s office chief of staff. Samuel said all items detectives recovered were returned to their owners.
Those arrested and charged include:
• Tony Marrell Speight, 49, of 3218 Apple Road, Stantonsburg, is charged with three counts of felony breaking and entering, three counts of larceny after breaking and entering and larceny of a firearm. He received a $131,500 secured bond.
• Donnie Ray Barnes, 54, of 8755 Gardners School Road, Stantonsburg, is charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering and larceny of a firearm. He received $5,000 secured bond.
• Jennifer Dale Coggins, of 2929 U.S. 301 S., Wilson, is charged with two counts of felony breaking and entering, two counts of larceny after breaking and entering and larceny of a firearm. She was given a $2,000 secured bond.
The arrests follow an ongoing investigation into the burglaries.
