Edna Boykin's gift to Wilson
Edna Earle Boykin died in December 2011. But it took a good part of this year to carry out the plans she put in place to support the Wilson Arts Council. In her will, Boykin left her Raleigh Road home and its contents to the Arts Council of Wilson. Money raised as a result of selling her estate will be used to start an endowment fund to bring quality entertainment to the Boykin Center.
