Theft ring shut down
The leader of a property theft ring and his top sidekick were charged in August after Wilson investigators launched surveillance of the suspects. Thomas James Evelyn Jr., 23, and Arthur Joseph Strachan, 28, are accused of breaking into numerous homes and storage buildings, stealing motor vehicles, motorcycles, TVs, jewelry, lawn equipment, cash, guns, computers, video games, electronics and more. They are also accused of targeting all-terrain vehicles and dirt bikes.
