Matthew Redance trial
In March, a mistrial was declared in the first-degree murder trial of Matthew Redance. The young man is accused of abusing and killing 2-year-old Alyssia Kirby. In February, a jury from Wayne County will be tasked with hearing the case as Redance is tried for a second time here in Wilson County. A judge ordered the second jury be selected from outside of Wilson County due to coverage of the first trial by The Wilson Times.
